Manual Watering Runs: Setup and Troubleshooting Guide

Water multiple zones on command with Manual Runs.

What is it?

Manual Watering Runs let you manually water multiple zones in a single, seamless sequence. Instead of watering each zone one at a time and having to wait for a zone to finish before starting the next, you can queue up your zones, like a “playlist”, and press play. It’s an extension of the existing “Water Now” feature, designed to save time and simplify manual watering.

Think of a 'run' like a playlist that you play at the touch of a button. If you sometimes need to water your front lawn, veggie garden, and trees manually, just save it as a 'Manual Watering Run' instead of hitting "Water Manually" for each zone seperately.

Even zones that belong to different OtOs can belong to the same 'run'!

How to Create a Manual Run

  1. Click Create manual run from your Home page.

2. Give your manual run a name.

3. Select what zones you'd like to include in your manual run, and dial in exactly how much each zone should be watered.

Tip: you can include zones from multiple OtO units in a manual run.

4. From here, you can re-order which zones will be watered first. Once you're satisfied with your run, press Create manual run.

Congrats! You just created your first manual run. Your manual runs will show up on your Home page.

Starting a manual run

Pressing on your desired manual run opens up a menu at the bottom of your screen. From here, select Start now. Your manual run will now commence.

Tip: Press the switch on OtO to start your manual run immediately.

  • Because OtO sleeps to preserve battery power, it may take up to 5 minutes to water if you do not press the switch.
  • Read this article for more details.

If you have watering events scheduled on the same OtO, starting a manual run may disrupt them. You'll get a notification window informing you of this:

Editing, renaming, or deleting a manual run

You can edit, rename, or delete your manual run in the same menu where you start the run.
