OtO's max reach (radius) in a single direction should be 30 feet.
Note that OtO does not have a pump inside. Therefore, its reach is highly dependent on your source water pressure.
In order to reach 30 feet:
- Your water source should be open all the way
- Your water source must be at least 50 PSI (at hose end, i.e. the end of the hose that you use OtO)
- Use only a heavy duty rubber hose that is 5/8" or better yet, 3/4"
- Avoid unnecessary connectors, splitters, coils or bends in the hose
What if I can't get 30 feet?
There are several factors that influence how far OtO is able to water. Consider the following in order to reduce water pressure and flow rate loss:
- Check that the water source is turned on all the way.
- Ensure there are no kinks or sharp turns in the hose.
- Remove any quick connectors or other objects that may cause restrictions along the line.
- Keep hose short. We recommend a hose that is less than 50 feet in length.
- Use a wider hose. We recommend a high-quality hose with an 5/8 inch ID or greater.
- Consider your water pressure. OtO is only able to reach 30 feet with a water pressure of 50 PSI or greater.
- Check your home's pressure regulator
How can I increase my water pressure?
You can sometimes increase your home's water pressure at your pressure regulator.
