No. OtO requires pressurized water in order to operate.
If you are interested in using a rain barrel, you would need something to pump the water from the barrel into the OtO device. These types of pumps usually require a high amount of power and a 110v wall plug.
The current product design does not include a pump such as this, but is a common request and likely to hit our roadmap in the future.

This would be a great feature since city water has chlorine in it. It would be cool if OTO had the ability to control the pump.
I would love this as a feature for my garden (that is irrigated by a rain barrel).
Has any progress been made on using the auto with rainwater? I’m getting ready to try it with a pressure pump. Another feature that would be nice to have would be the ability to disable the auto. If the rain barrels were empty. Does the auto communicate with any home automation systems such as Home Assistant?
This would be a great option. Many small towns in the USA encourage homeowners to use rain barrels to capture water runoff from their gutter system and re-use it for the gardens. We would need an Oto, a smart self-priming water pump, and one or more rain barrels to collect water. The smart self-priming pump would need to either have an AC connection or be solar powered and communicate to Oto to stop its scheduled watering if the water flow is too weak.
