Does OtO require an external power source?

Nope! Not unless you want to,

Each OtO unit can be fully powered by the on-board solar panel under the right conditions.

The solar powered battery on average needs a minimum of 3 hours of direct sunlight per day in order for the unit to operate fully on solar power. Cloudy weather, shade, and shadows prevent the panel from charging.

For those without this much sun or with shady yards, each device also comes with a 50 ft wall adapter that can be used as either a permanent power source, or a power boost when needed.

🤔 Can't find your power cable? Open OtO's lid and check inside. The power cable will be rolled up and nestled inside the middle (blue) solution bay.
