OtO Lawn

How do I know what my water pressure is?

To achieve the optimal range of 30 feet, we recommend all users have a minimum water pressure of 50 PSI (pounds per square inch).

If your water pressure is below 50 PSI, you can still operate OtO, but its spraying range will be less than 30 feet.

If your water pressure is higher than 50 PSI, OtO will reach the maximum distance of 30 feet and no further.

How to measure your water pressure

Understanding your water pressure may also be helpful in determining if OtO will work for you. We recommend a minimum water pressure of 50 PSI, but if your flow rate is still too low, you may still not be able to reach the maximum distance.

  1. Remove the hose from the faucet that you'd like to be connected to OtO.
  2. Attach a water pressure gauge directly to the faucet. Hand-tight should be enough, but you may need to use a wrench if the connection leaks a bit. A good seal is necessary for an accurate reading,
  3. Turn the faucet all the way, then read the pressure on the gauge's dial.

📓 Note: At this time, we don't have a maximum recommended water pressure (PSI), however most if not all homes in the US have a regulator on the inlet so unless you're doing something out of the ordinary you should be just fine. We would consider anything over 80 PSI potentially damaging to the unit.
