If you have purchased an OtO device from an unauthorized reseller*, other than otolawn.com or Walmart, it is important to take certain steps to ensure that you can set up the device properly on the OtO app.
Follow the steps outline below

Ask the seller to remove the device from their OtO app: If the unit has already been set up by the previous owner, they will need to remove the device from their OtO app before you can set it up under your own account.
They can do so by navigating to the device they would like to remove and click on the device settings option located in the upper-right corner of the screen. From there, they can select "Delete Device". -
Create a new account on the OtO app and add the device: Once the previous owner has removed the device from their account, you can create a new account on the OtO app and add this device under your account. This will allow you to connect to the device and start using it. Here are some steps to help you get started.
*Unauthorized resellers can include auction sites, marketplaces, private or third-party sales, and other vendors not officially sanctioned through OtO.
